Magic in the Clouds

Last month I talked about the beginning of my Lilith & the Fairies Supernatural Romantic Suspense Series.  It was great fun writing that first novel, so I decided to keep going. I had just read a book by Colette Baron-Reid, Messages from Spirit, in which she said you could ask questions to the clouds. 

Hmmmm. I had no idea what the next novel was about, so I asked the clouds on a bright, sunny day, "What should I write about next?" In a matter of minutes I saw a dolphin-shaped cloud appearing in the sky. And then another.

This excited me because I love dolphins and have had close encounters with them through commercial programs, and even swam with the wild spinner dolphins in Kealakekua Bay, off the Big Island of Hawaii. So this one was a no-brainer.

In the second of the faery series for adults, I send Lilith and her new love to the Big Island, where they swim with the spinners and discover tragedy in the waters of Kealakekua Bay. There's some great family and romantic tension, the promise of earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions, and more. This could be a Hawaiian vacation for you--minus the jet lag and considerable expense. (Okay, I definitely recommend the real thing.)

BECOME THE CEO OF YOUR HEALING TEAM

Giving your power away isn't the best, especially when it comes to healing. Whether you have mild symptoms, are feeling run down, or have even greater healing challenges, you are the one who knows what's best for you. It pays to do some research and make informed choices. There's a wealth of information available to you, and if you set an intention to find your healing, it will come to you--one day at a time and in the moment. 

I worked mainstream medicine as a registered nurse and what's called "alternative" medicine as a massage therapist, Reiki practitioner, and craniosacral therapist. I believe that both worlds offer much for your healing, and a combined approach is usually best, as we learn more and more about the true causes of disease and how to get to the root of them. I feel sad for those who will not consider healing modalities outside the mainstream. Very sad. Excuse me, I have to go cry now.

    USE YOUR IMAGINATION

I've been studying about the Sidhe (pronounced "shee"). These are not the faery spirits we connect with in nature, but a race of beings that share our earth, once one with us humans, but now in another realm. I have been learning about them from Lorian Association classes and from my own experiences. Please remember that I didn't believe in any of this in the beginning, so bear with me if this sounds way out there.

From my understanding, my Sidhe friends are more of the stars, fluid, and imaginative in their earth experience. But we can imagine our way, too. We can spend a few minutes every day imagining the day ahead. We can visualize a day without obstacles, with more peace and harmony. I believe this can become one of our superpowers. So imagine more love, happiness, and adventure for you and those you love. Or whatever it is that would light you up. This simple technique can be lots of fun and help point your day in a positive direction.
