WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I hope you are enjoying your summer. It always seems to go so fast, the days of basking in the sun, swimming at the pool or lake, having fun outside, etc. What do you enjoy doing in the summer?

A few quick notes about thinking. This is something that can keep you out of The Palace (that life of abundance and joy--see June Newsletter). Eckhart Tolle puts it simply: it's usually not what's happening in your life that makes you suffer. It's your thoughts about it.

For instance, I suffered a great deal in my 20's and 30's when the circumstances of my life were actually pretty good. This usually revolved around a relationship with a guy and my disappointment or abandonment. (Okay, what a sap I was!)Â

Now that I'm older I have much greater problems to deal with, but I'm happier by leaps and bounds. I handle challenges with greater ease because I monitor my thoughts and focus on what I want versus what I don't want. I am always a work in progress, though.

No need to suffer needlessly. Just stay rooted in the present moment and release those troubling thoughts ( this might happen or that did happen, oh poor me). Looking ahead and behind and focusing on the negative will kick you out of The Palace. You can claim your life of joy!
